Absolute Vision has appointed Michael Smith as a new Software Engineer.

Absolute Vision has appointed Michael Smith as a new Software Engineer.

Smith, 23, from Corley near Coventry, recently graduated from Warwick University with a first in computer science.

His job will entail looking at how the latest software techniques can be applied to enhance and extend Absolute Vision's leading-edge range of code-reading products for manufacturing, biotechnology and healthcare markets.

Commenting on the appointment, Richard Laight, Business Development Manager at Absolute Vision, said: "We are confident that Mike's first-class skills in software development and his enthusiasm to learn about the vision industry, will bring long-term benefits to our company and our customers".

Smith said: "I am excited about joining Absolute Vision".

"This is a career opportunity that offers some diverse experiences, from new product development to international customer support and attending trade shows, such as MACH at the NEC in May".

Before joining Absolute Vision, Smith spent four and a half months travelling through Russia to China, Mongolia and Vietnam.

In his spare time he enjoys developing his own computing solutions as well as hill-walking and mountaineering.
