The demise of the humble reed switch has been predicted for many years but Assemtech says that sales of this excellent choice for reliability are growing every year.

The demise of the humble Reed Switch has been predicted for many years but at Assemtech sales are growing every year.

The Reed switch is an excellent choice for reliability with its sealed contacts and non-touch switching provided by an external magnet or coil.

Perhaps this is why sales are increasing or maybe its because Assemtech offers that special service and support, which in addition to providing a wide range of standard products can also cut, form and mould reed switches to customer's special requirements.

Quantity is also no problem with tooling, which can often be reset for small batch runs.

Moulded plastic bodies for easier pick-up or custom lead forming for lower costs are just two of the ways Assemtech can meet the requirements of today's surface mount technology and reflects the company's desire to provide a special service to meet the ever increasing demands for improved assembly processes.
