Motion control specialist Astrosyn International Technology has introduced two new ranges of mini hybrid stepper motors.

Astrosyn International Technology has two new ranges of mini hybrid stepper motors.

Their compact size combined with high accuracy and power make them ideal for a wide range of applications where size is at a premium.

The smallest of the size 14 models has a body length of only 20mm, while delivering a holding torque of 5Ncm.

The most powerful in the range provides an 11Ncm holding torque but is still only 34mm long.

There are two models in the size 11 range, offering holding torques of 7 and 9Ncm and weighing 140 and 200g, respectively.

"The compact size and high power of these units makes them ideal for applications such as robotics, laboratory sampling, medical instrumentation and 3G telephone mast antennas", said Simon Hunt, Astrosyn's Technical Sales Director.

"They are also suitable for controlling CCTV cameras in security applications".

All the models offer high accuracy with a step angle of 1.8 degrees.
