An Astrosyn International Technology product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Apr 1, 2009

Astrosyn International Technology has released the F87 rugged stepper motors, which include IP68 protection ratings.

The F87 series is suitable for use in harsh and wet environments.

The series has been tested underwater to a pressure of 1bar - corresponding to a water depth of 10m.

The F87 motors are ideal for use in the food-processing industry, where process equipment must be regularly washed down and decontaminated.

The motors can also be used in equipment that is submerged or exposed to heavy rain.

The motors are available with special coatings to protect against corrosion or marine conditions.

They can also be used in machine tools.

All models have a step angle of 1.8 degrees.

Holding torques range from 1.8 to 7.2Nm.

Single or double-ended shafts are available.
