These legacy products make up the foundation for today's Eurotherm control systems and include products such as the T100, T103, T303, T921 and T923.
Eurotherm suggests that owners of T103 and T921 based systems replace them with the T2550 programmable automation controller.
However, the company admits that this replacement cannot be done without modifications, and so anyone considering the move should seriously look at all options available.
All the major system vendors such as Rockwell, GE Fanuc, Siemens and Mitsubishi have products in their ranges to which T103 and T921 systems can be migrated.
ASR Technology reckons it can save users money on redeveloping process systems from scratch.
With its high levels of experience, the company can integrate Eurotherm's recommended replacement or alternatively migrate systems to any one of a number of different platforms, providing the system that best suits the user's needs in terms of functionality and capital expenditure.
ASR Technology offers free independent consultancy via one-to-one workshops with its engineers to discuss any issues Eurotherm users may have about legacy systems.
The free workshop will include analysis of the user's current situation and what options are available using a internationally recognised creative decision making model.
These workshops give the opportunity to gain access to over 200 man years of engineering experience of upgrading and migrating solutions.
