Small sensor suits medical applications

The Fmicro is based on one of the SeMitec's smallest FT thermistors encapsulated in a polyamide tube and fitted with 38AWG insulated leads.

SeMitec's has released a micro thermistor sensor for use in medical applications.

It uses the company's FT thin-film technology combined with laser-trimming techniques.

The Fmicro thermistor sensor is only 0.5mm in diameter and 2.3mm long.

The Fmicro is based on one of the company's smallest FT thermistors encapsulated in a polyamide tube and fitted with 38AWG insulated leads.

The Fmicro is accurate to +/-0.2K at 37C and is small enough to be incorporated within a catheter probe for internal body temperature measurement.

The operating temperature range is -10 to +70C.
