New VP for Autodesk in Europe, Middle East, Africa

Autodesk announced today Vic Sanchez has been appointed as the Vice President for the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) division of Autodesk.

Autodesk announced today Vic Sanchez has been appointed as the Vice President for the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) division of Autodesk.

In this role, Sanchez oversees sales, distribution and localisation issues for the region.

Sanchez will be based in Geneva, Switzerland and he reports to Mike Sutton, Autodesk Executive Vice President of Worldwide Field Operations.

Sanchez joins Autodesk from Iomega, where he worked as Vice President of their EMEA group.

While at Iomega, his responsibilities included directing all of the Iomega European operations including sales and marketing where he grew Iomega's European profitability by 80%.

Prior to Iomega, Sanchez was Director of the European Server Business Unit at Silicon Graphics, based in Gland, Switzerland.

While there, he successfully launched SGI's Database server platform in Europe and grew the server business from $20M to over $250M.

Sanchez has also held various international sales and marketing positions at Hewlett Packard in Boeblingen, Germany.
