Ison takes charge of manufacturing
solutions

Ison founded SolidBase UK, the SolidWorks reseller in 1996, and was its Managing Director until its acquisition in May 2002 by NT CADCAM, where, for the last year, he has worked as Director of Business Development.
He founded his first business in 1993 when, with a partner, he set up the computer consultancy, Lighthouse.
Previously, Ison spent four years at Applicon, a pioneer in the 3D modelling arena, where he was a Sales Engineer and, latterly, Northern Sales Manager.
Ison has a degree in civil engineering from the University of Dundee and subsequently qualified as a Chartered Civil Engineer.
He spent the early years of his career working in a variety of engineering roles.
