Paraskeva aims for greater northern
exposure
In a move to strengthen further its leading market position in the region, Autodesk has appointed of Mark Paraskeva as Senior Area Sales Director, Northern Europe.
In a move to strengthen further its leading market position in the region, Autodesk has appointed of Mark Paraskeva as Senior Area Sales Director, Northern Europe Based at Autodesk's UK headquarters in Farnborough, Hampshire, Paraskeva's role will be to bring operations in UK and Ireland, Benelux and the Nordics closer together, to better serve customers in these areas

During 20 years in the high-tech industry, Paraskeva's career to date has spanned marketing, sales and all aspects of management where his experience includes heading up complex multi-million-pound acquisitions and driving fast revenue growth.
Appropriately, he is also well grounded in all aspects of CAD, having written CAD software for four years earlier in his career and worked as CAD manager and in CAD support.
Paraskeva comes to this new role at Autodesk from Mentor Graphics, where he most recently had responsibility for Northern European direct sales.

In three years Paraskeva transformed the region from the smallest in Europe to the largest.
He was at Mentor Graphics for over 11 years where his various positions included Marketing Director, Europe, General Manager R and D, and Sales Director.
Before this, Paraskeva was UK Technical Manger at Cadence Design Systems covering applications engineering and customer support, at Digital Equipment Company (DEC) Wide Area Networking Division and at Siemens Plessey Roke Manor.
"The next few years will be a dynamic time for Autodesk", says Paraskeva.
"Latest results show the company is in a strong financial state and in an excellent position to capitalise on the expected upturn in the market to build on our six million customer base".
His experience has shown that Northern Europe is an area that integrates well: "I am convinced that more can be accomplished by leveraging resources across the region", he says.
"I believe that the combination of an extensive and exciting product range and a strong team means that Autodesk is ready to move onto the next level in Northern Europe and I look forward to playing a pivotal role".
Paraskeva has a first class honours degree in electronic engineering from Southampton University.
He is married with two children.
