AutoSolids has released AS Mechanical, a 3D mechanical hardware add-on for Autocad and Autocad-based applications AS Mechanical creates 3D nuts, bolts, bearings and structural shapes
The 3D solids are parametric, allowing bolt sizes, head styles, thread pitches, beam sections and so on to be changed at the touch of a button.
When shared with other Autocad users, its solids perform and respond exactly like native Autocad solids.
AS Mechanical supports Autocad versions 2000 to 2006 and their vertical applications (Mechanical Desktop, Architectural Desktop and Autocad Mechanical).
Until the end of February 2006, AS Mechanical is available at the introductory price of $99 and is being included free with new purchases of AutoSolids.
A free edition of AS Mechanical, with a reduced number of hardware items and no time restrictions, is available for download from the AutoSolids web site.
