Website simplifies fastener sourcing

An Atlantic Fasteners product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Jul 16, 2008

A new browse/order box on the Atlantic Fasteners website makes it easier to source both mil/aero and commercial fasteners online.

Now it is quick and convenient to source military-aerospace and commercial fasteners directly from the Atlantic Fasteners website.

The home page features a new browse/order box to access instant pricing information.

Take military-aerospace hardware, for instance.

Keying in any part number - AN, AS, Mil, MS, NAS, BAC, DIN, NSA or even an OEM part number - in the browse/order box will lead directly from the home webpage to information about the part.

A part search using the browse/order box delivers immediate results: a brief part description, alternate part numbers, and any applicable line or purchase order minimums.

When stock is available, prices are listed.

If the part is currently out of stock, buyers are shown how to contact Atlantic's military-aerospace team to indicate what they need.

Atlantic Fasteners then uses an extensive network of qualified industry suppliers to search for parts.

Military and aerospace buyers who want to place an order can choose from toll-free telephone, e-mail or fax to complete their purchase.

Atlantic Fasteners offers personal assistance to assure that buyers get exactly the parts they need with proper certifications.

Commercial fasteners buyers can use the browse/order box to source parts by type, such as "heavy hex nut" or "dowel pin", or by brand, such as Avdel or Flexloc.

Then they can follow the prompts to buy directly from the website.

John Kraus, Vice President of Commercial Sales, explains that the Atlantic Fasteners website improvement goes beyond saving minutes or clicks for busy purchasing agents and other decision makers.

"We want our customers to have the best possible online experience with Atlantic Fasteners", he says.

"These changes give our military and aerospace customers more flexibility than ever", adds Marc Dionne, Director of the Military-Aerospace Division.

"Even if they enter an obsolete or superseded part number, many of the items are internally crossreferenced with alternate part numbers so they will find what they are looking for on the first try".
