Valve tolerates less than perfect fluid
conditions
Pressure reducing valve reduces the pressure of steam, vapour, gases and liquids in chemical and process engineering, plant construction, and general engineering and industry.
ARI Armaturen has introduced the Predu valve for reducing the pressure of steam, vapour, gases and liquids in chemical and process engineering, plant construction, and general engineering and industry Specifically, it has applications in laundries, commercial kitchens, the food industry, the timber industry, hospitals, power stations, district heat technology and shipbuilding

Control valves for long life and high performance
The latest 470 series control valves from ARI Armaturen offer quality, flexibility, reliability and long life, while forming a useful addition to the product range
It suits systems where plant items have a working pressure lower than the distribution system pressure.
The pillar-less design simplifies adjustment of the downstream pressure as there are no obstructions.
This is useful for OEMs setting up new machinery on site.
The pillar-less design also makes for simplified maintenance, as the whole structure is screwed on and secured by a lock nut.
Its short and compact design allows installation in confined spaces.
Control advantages include: reliable and accurate control of pressure down to the closed position; downstream pressure maintained at a constant value, even with fluctuating upstream pressures, due to a pressure balanced bellow unit being used; rolling diaphragm in the actuator to reduce hysteresis; and accurate downstream pressure regulation.
Inevitable pipeline dirt is the enemy of most self-acting pressure reducing valves; it can result in fluctuating downstream pressures particularly under low flow conditions.
This can result in safety valves lifting, and the system pressure needing to be lowered to allow the safety valve to reseat.
However, Predu can tolerate less than perfect fluid conditions.
It is available in nominal diameters of DN15 to DN100, in GG-25 grey cast iron (PN16), GGG-40.3 nodular iron (PN16 and PN25) and GS-C 25 cast steel (PN25 and PN40).
Options include five sizes of actuator, six graduated set-point ranges, two sizes of water seal pots (depending on valve size and application) and springs to regulate downstream pressures from 0.2 to 16bar . Request a free brochure from ARI Armaturen (UK) ...
