Reseller to target automotive industry
ART VPS has signed Majenta Solutions to deliver its innovative RenderDrive visualisation systems to the UK automotive and manufacturing industry.
Computer reality pioneer ART VPS and Majenta Solutions have signed a reseller agreement that sees Majenta deliver ART VPS's innovative RenderDrive visualisation systems to the UK automotive and manufacturing industry Effective immediately, Majenta Solutions will add the ART VPS products to its existing portfolio of CAD and engineering design solutions
"We are excited to be adding ART VPS range of high quality visualisation solutions to our portfolio", said Mike Reading, Sales and Marketing Director at Majenta Solutions.
"With RenderDrive we are able to offer our automotive and engineering clients super high quality 3D visualisation - enabling them to better leverage their CAD assets throughout the product lifecycle and to extend them into the commercial and publicity departments".
The 3D visualisation systems developed by ART VPS simulate the complex physics of the real world to create an image from a 3D CAD model.
The results are undistinguishable from a photograph.
Uniquely, ART VPS have implemented their physically based rendering within specialised hardware enabling images to be generated many times faster than with conventional software rendering.
With RenderDrive, designers can employ and combine all the rendering features that are traditionally expensive and time-consuming to calculate - such as multiple area lights, accurate motion blur and depth of field, secondary illumination, and physically based materials, lighting and camera properties.
With complex data, the RenderDrive RD5000 can deliver a rendering speed increase of up to 35x over software rendering - reducing the time required to render a single high-resolution image from 12h to just 21min.
Applications of RenderDrive within the design and engineering industry already include digital design mockups of aircraft interiors used to assist clients with their Learjet purchase; virtual photographs replacing traditional photography in the production of dealer brochures and vehicle launch materials for Ford Motor Company; and the production of conceptual design images and animations for design exploration at a number of large FMCG packaging companies.
"Our systems provide unrivalled high end visualisation capabilities and are finding a strong foothold within the automotive and aerospace industry", said Craig Wareham, VP Marketing at ART VPS.
"With their specialist knowledge and experience of the engineering market, Majenta Solutions are perfectly positioned to deliver the substantial benefits that very high quality visualisation can deliver throughout the engineering and manufacturing enterprise".
RenderDrive is ART VPS's family of high-end 3D rendering appliances - dedicated rendering servers specifically designed to tackle the most intensive of rendering jobs.
RenderDrive offers maximum ray tracing performance, the largest scene data capacity, and is a shared network device to offer maximum resource utilisation.
For applications handling large and complex models such as aerospace and automotive design or large architectural development, or applications requiring minimum rendering latency, ART VPS's RenderDrive appliances offer the highest rendering performance and the most reliable and robust platform.
There are three RenderDrive systems available, and pricing starts at ?4999 plus taxes.
All systems from ART VPS are delivered with site-wide licences for the RenderPipe plug-in interfaces for popular 3D software applications 3dsmax, Viz and Maya - enabling all designers in a studio to share the rendering resources at no additional cost.
