Polythene packaging bags are resealeable

Automated Packaging Systems has expanded its bag range with the introduction of multi-use resealable polythene bags.

Automated Packaging Systems has expanded its bag range with the introduction of multi-use resealable polythene bags Available in a choice of sizes, the bags are designed for use with the Autobag SPrint packaging machine, successfully launched earlier this year

Using a slimline 'double grip' zipper profile, these bags are both robust and good looking.

They are ideal for use by a diverse range of industries, including medical devices, personal care products, hardware, electronics, textiles and all sorts of retail goods.

With increasing concern about the security of retail packaging at the point of sale and during distribution, the option of a 'tamper evident' perforation which is removed on first use will give customers and distributors added peace of mind.

The bags are available in material gauges of 50, 75 and 100 microns with high quality line or process print in up to 5 colours.

Sizes range from 75mm to 355mm width and from 75 to 460mm in length.

Other features include headers in any size from 25mm, euroslot or round hanger holes and air relief holes.

The SPrint packaging machine opens multiple bags at once along its horizontal load area.

This makes it especially suited to packing kits or multiple components into the same bag with more than one operator.

Unusually, SPrint manages to combine high speed with excellent flexibility.

Filling, indexing and sealing can take place at up to 140 bags per minute, whilst changeovers take no longer than two minutes.

For maximum packaging flexibility, SPrint bags can be imprinted at high speed as part of the bagging process, using the Autobag Precision thermal transfer printer.

As this imprinter is designed specifically for use with the Sprint machine, it too can operate at very high speed.

Speeds of 90 bags per minute are achievable, even when adding variable information in-line such as logos, text, date stamp and bar codes.

Robin Hill, Automated Packaging's Product Manager said: "Resealable bags are yet another value added offering to our customers as part of the Autobag Total Packaging System. Request a free brochure from Automated Packaging Systems ...

These bags, combined with the productivity of the SPrint system will dramatically improve all aspects of a packaging operation.".
