Aucotec will be holding a series of workshops commencing on the 29th June 2004 to present the latest version of a new product suite called Engineering Base, "the electrical engineering office" which incorporates the Microsoft products Visio 2003, SQL Server and VBA.
Those present will discover how Engineering Base can benefit their companies by providing a complete solution for electrical design engineering.
It doesn't matter if the design process commences with lists for long lead items, panel layout for the shop floor, the schematics themselves, or device lists and specifications; Engineering Base will facilitate this in a familiar "Microsoft Office" environment.
Intuitive and easy to use, Engineering Base caters for all of these processes and relieves users of the problems associated with multiple entries of the same data in the engineering process.
With Engineering Base the data have only to be entered once and are immediately available "online" anywhere in the design process.
Not just another CAD application, Engineering Base is designed to be used by all departments in a company.
The application is scaleable from stand-alone users to multi-user installations on a network.
Engineering Base provides a true collaborative design environment for users working on large projects.
Engineering Base itself covers the complete engineering process, containing all the necessary electrical intelligence by combining the graphics editor of Microsoft Visio with SQL Server.
Different standards like IEC and ANSI are already implemented and the solution already contains over 2000 intelligent and logical electrical symbols/shapes.
The automatic creation of crossreferences, parts lists, wiring diagrams, wire numbering, node numbering and device labelling are only a small part of the functions which are already implemented in the software.
Combined with powerful wizards like symbol creation wizards, cable wizards, relay wizards and translate text wizards (including Chinese) the end user will have an intuitive and productive tool which will streamline the complete engineering process.
