Automation Products has appointed Mike Humpherson and Mike Beddall as regional sales managers to further strengthen the company's push into the new and emerging SCADA markets.

Automation Products has appointed Mike Humpherson and Mike Beddall as regional sales managers to further strengthen the company's push into the new and emerging SCADA markets.

Both men have held senior sales positions before and both have a good deal of knowledge of SCADA technology.

Mike Humpherson has expertise in industrial automation involving PLCs, SCADA, operator interface products, Soft PLC and PCs throughout the manufacturing and process industry.

He worked for AFE Technologies Ltd as sales director where he was responsible for marketing the company's products across Europe and for establishing distributor operations globally.

Mr Humpherson said: " As a company Automation Products has a world class SCADA product, but it is relatively new in this country.

What we will do is position that product in the UK as effectively as in other countries.

With our knowledge, this is achievable.

Mike Beddall previously worked in field sales at HTE, and before that he also worked for AFE, where he was involved with the early PC based SCADA products.

He said: "Moving to Automation Products is an opportunity to concentrate on the software side of things rather than hardware.

The automation market is exploding at the moment and, as a solution provider, Automation Products with its Citect system is ideally positioned to move into this booming area.

My experience can help us do that.
