The addition of a new Batch Management option to the CitectScada package makes it easier for regulated manufacturers from the food and beverage, chemicals and pharmaceuticals industries to comply with increasingly stringent regulations, such as FDA 21 CFR Part 11 and S88.
CitectScada Batch is a highly integrated module that provides users with an all-in-one solution, enabling compliance with international regulations while, at the same time, optimising user production efficiencies and increasing competitive advantage.
Unlike custom batch solutions, which are too often difficult and costly to support, CitectScada Batch is quick to configure, easy to use and inexpensive to maintain.
In addition, Citect is quick to respond to revised regulations, and delivers regular product upgrades to ensure users remain compliant.
Providing unrivalled levels of reliability, CitectScada Batch integrates tightly with existing systems and offers exceptional reporting, control and visualisation capabilities specific to the needs of the food and beverage, pharmaceuticals and chemicals industries.
It also controls and documents all automatic actions and manual operations prescribed by the batch recipe in accordance with international regulations.
CitectScada Batch provides a comprehensive system with which users can model their plant floor, execute parallel processing of batch recipes and control up to 99 independent batch units simultaneously.
The module also links to business systems for better tracking and tracing of materials, stock levels, plant utilisation and supply chain management, as well as enabling the control of basic operations from any CitectScada client/server.
Underpinning the role of CitectScada Batch in achieving regulatory compliance is the DCS style multilevel redundancy, which is standard to CitectScada.
Easy to configure and able to be incorporated at all levels, this redundancy provides the ability to tolerate hardware failure anywhere in a system, with no loss of functionality, performance, communication or system reliability.
