Citect is hosting a free one-day educational seminar on continuous improvement at Silverstone Grand Prix race circuit on Tuesday 21st November 2006.

Aimed at senior managers and directors in operations, continuous improvement, manufacturing, production, business improvement and IT, the seminar will address key issues such as: how to transform business and manufacturing processes; how to make reductions in operating costs and improve profitability; how to slash lead times and inventory while improving business agility; and how to get new direction for continuous improvement initiatives.

"Anyone who is looking to embark on, or is already working on a Continuous Improvement Initiative should be attending this one-day educational event", said Paul Hurst, Citect's UK Managing Director.

"It will enable senior managers in manufacturing companies of all sizes to understand the what, why and how of continuous improvement, and to find out how lean, OEE, six sigma and kaisen practices can help to transform their entire businesses - from the shop floor, back and front office, and throughout their supply chains".

The keynote speaker at the Silverstone seminar will be Joe Booth who, from 1994 to the present day, has worked with more than 100 clients, coaching them through change, and achieving enormous success with his company, Access2Growth.

An engineer by trade, Booth has vast experience with change management, lean production, continuous improvement and supply chain management.

Booth's presentation on how lean manufacturing and six sigma is helping manufacturing industry to become bigger and more successful, will be complemented by presentations on "Accelerating continuous improvement"; and "Taking the first steps".

Cevn Vibert, MES Business Manager at Silchester Control Systems will provide insight into how a current Silchester customer is using Citect Technology to support his continuous improvement initiatives, bringing business benefit.
