The latest version of Switch2Citect provides enhanced functionality, not only to migrate but also to improve the conversion of legacy systems.
Switch2Citect v1.2 provides automated conversion for almost 75% of legacy Scada systems to the reliable and flexible CitectScada.
Four new importers for Wizcon by Axeda, WinCC by Siemens, Genesis32 by Iconics and Cimplicity by GE Fanuc add to the existing range of importers for RSView, Fix32, iFix, InTouch and FactoryLink.
The latest version of Switch2Citect provides enhanced functionality, not only to migrate but also to improve the conversion of legacy systems.
"Switch2Citect has allowed many companies to become more competitive by allowing them to replace their legacy HMI/Scada system without the expense normally associated with a manual replacement".

In addition to the new importers available with Switch2Citect, v1.2 includes a number of enhancements which further improve the quality of conversions.
For example, Switch2Citect can now import bitmaps from the legacy system and turn these into symbols inside CitectScada.
These symbols are automatically used and re-used in the page conversion process.
No longer do users have to edit multiple pages in their old system each time an image changes.

According to Frost and Sullivan the global consulting firm: "Migration using standard industry leading products promises less risk than full replacement starting from scratch".
Switch2Citect converts 74.4% of legacy Scada systems in far less time and with reduced risk compared with manual conversion.
Switch2Citect will result in greater reduction of testing time therefore, delivers substantial savings not only in time, but also in effort and cost associated with the conversion.
Switch2Citect has been implemented in a diverse range of projects throughout the world, from Canadian oil pipelines to leading Australian mining companies.
