The latest range of films from Autotype will be on show on the Formech International stand at this year's K exhibition.

Autotype will be specifically promoting its Autoflex HiForm and XtraForm formable hardcoated polycarbonate films which are both suitable for creating formed parts in a wide range of applications.

In particular, Autoflex HiForm and XtraForm can be used in conjunction with Formech's IMD660 vacuum forming machine that has been specially developed for the IMD process.

The Autoflex range has been designed to simplify the production process by reducing the number of manufacturing stages and streamlining part production in a range of applications.

Autoflex HiForm and XtraForm allow intricate graphics to be reproduced on 3D components such as mobile phone lenses, appliance fascias and automotive interior parts.

Autoflex HiForm has been developed for moderate form depths and features an ingenious self-healing coating that is designed to repair itself when scratched.

Autoflex XtraForm has been specially designed for deep draw IMD applications where maximum draw and extra hardness is required.

"We are delighted to have a presence on the Formech stand", says Richard Towsend, Product Manager for FIM Products at Autotype.

"We have been working closely with Formech for some time to develop a dedicated Formech IMD machine that could be used in conjunction with our range of formable hardcoated films".

"The collaboration has been extremely successful and we are looking forward to jointly promoting our IMD solutions at K".
