In the years since the company opened the doors of its Brixton offices in 1868 for the very first time, MacDermid Autotype has initiated numerous ground-breaking developments within the specialist field of imaging technology.
After only six years of trading, in 1874, the then Autotype Company invented a new printing method that revolutionised the world of visual communication.

During a recent visit to the MacDermid Autotype UK headquarters in Wantage, Oxfordshire, local MP, Ed Vaisey, explained: "The new book is a great summary of this innovative company, taking the reader on a fascinating journey through its 137-year history right to the present day where we see MacDermid Autotype become one of the main employers in the area and winner of the prestigious Queen's Award for the third time".
