"That is why, we are delighted to be Wakefield's preferred Simulation software partner in this exciting new venture.
We believe the Space and Efficiency Centre, which is the first of its kind in the UK, will provide invaluable assistance to businesses who wish to take the risk out of selecting and commissioning materials handling equipment." The AutoMod software is an extremely powerful simulation tool and the product of choice for hundreds of highly reputable storage and distribution operators around the world.
Users can model materials handling facilities with absolute accuracy, testing equipment performance, routing efficiency and loading capability under all possible conditions in a minimal risk environment.
AutoMod has been used successfully to model carousels, conveyors and sortation systems as well as order picking, a variety of vehicle types, automated storage/retrieval equipment and operator activities.
It helps to ensure optimum performance is realised from the equipment selected and that work processes are implemented in proposed or existing facilities according to design." The AutoMod demonstration forms an integral part of Wakefields Space and Efficiency Centre.
The models on display include examples of all of the equipment currently on view at the Centre, allowing visitors to experience the business benefits on offer and to see how the equipment is integrated into actual warehouses and distribution centres.
"All those involved, particularly the Wakefields staff, have worked hard to bring this project to successful fruition." Comments Graham Carter, "It is a unique approach to demonstrating a wide range of advanced equipment and systems in a single integrated centre, I am sure it will prove a huge success and deliver a timely and much needed service to all the materials handling professionals who visit it now and in the future.".
