Web-based software keeps everyone alert

An Automated Results product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Jan 6, 2006

ProcessAlert is a web-based software package that enables every member of an organisation to define what information is critical for their job and then continuously track it with real-time alerts.

Automated Results has released ProcessAlert, a web-based software solution that enables every member of an organisation to define what information is critical for their job and then continuously track it with real-time alerts.

One of the conceptual designers of ProcessAlert, Brian Finkbone, says: "In a nutshell, ProcessAlert is a software application that works behind your firewall to continuously compare the standards, expressed as rules, to current values in your information systems".

"If a value exceeds the conditions that were defined in the rule, then an alert is generated".

"Alerts are delivered over standard business communication channels including desktop e-mail, pagers, and cellular devices".

"Basically, anything that can receive a text e-mail can receive an alert".

He continues the say: "The value that this application can deliver to an organisation is immediate and real".

"Users in both business and production roles have total control to design and manage the alerts that are important for their job function".

"Just imagine, information from a wide range of systems can be compared with ProcessAlert's rules to help track raw materials, aid with planning, monitor production, keep track of environmental excursions, track safety, control quality, monitor financial performance, track shipments, and watch market conditions".

"Any of these, used in the right way, can provide a real competitive advantage and add significant value to the bottom line of an organisation".

Currently ProcessAlert comes standard with the alerting engine and several common interfaces.

Automated Results will continue to expand the capabilities of ProcessAlert by developing systems connectivity and interfaces to meet customer needs.
