Autoweb buys Datranet

Fusion-DX is Datranet's flagship product for automating, controlling and managing CAD and related product data translation, communication and collaboration within engineering supply chains.
Effective immediately, Datranet will do business as Autoweb.
Nino DiCosmo, Autoweb's Chairman, President and CEO, said: "The union provides Autoweb with an enhanced product portfolio and a broader global reach".
The firms hope that merging products and services will drive innovation through integration of CAD, product lifecycle management (PLM) and communication systems that automate engineering processes.
Customers of both organisations will have one outlet for products using Autoweb and the Odette File Transfer Protocol.
