Allisons' Teflon Spray-Guard is a multilayered, Teflon-coated, glass-fibre safety shield which can be made to exactly fit any pipe fitting.

Allison Engineering has supplied its safety shields to the process industry for over 15 years to prevent hazardous liquid spray-outs from leaking pipe joints.

But they are now also being used as a control measure to help users of hazardous material to conform to ATEX137 and DSEAR regulations.

In so doing, a growing number of Allison's clients are often able to reduce the size of zoned hazardous areas, thus also ultimately saving money.

Allisons' Teflon Spray-Guard is a multilayered, Teflon-coated, glass-fibre safety shield which can be made to exactly fit any pipe fitting.

Typically, this is flanges and valves, though shields are often made to fit couplings, pumps, tee pieces, flexible hoses and various nonstandard joints.

The Spra-Guard is suitable for the most corrosive and aggressive chemical streams.

Stainless steel shields are also available for particularly high pressure and/or temperature applications.

With the ATEX137 and DSEAR regulations coming into force on 1st July 2006, Allison are offering free site surveys to evaluate shielding requirements.
