Units with between one and sixteen ports are available to provide a solution in a wide range of applications.
Adam 4570 and 4571 provide two and one ports respectively.
The units interface between RS232/422/485 and the Ethernet.
Adam modules support 10/100base-T standard, and have other key features that include an advanced security mechanism to protect against unauthorized access, easy to maintain remote download software, and an autodetecting configuration utility.
Adam 4570 and 4571 are particularly suited to factory automation, Scada and transportation applications.
The EDG-4504, 4508 and 4516 are industrial strength, network based serial device servers for connecting four RS232/422/485 ports (EDG-4504), or eight to sixteen RS232 ports (EDG-4508/4516), directly to a TCP/IP Ethernet network or the Internet.
All three units have functions such as advanced security and automatic connection recovery.
Key specification features include: an auto-detect 10/100Mbit/s Ethernet interface, the ability for RS232 devices to be shared by multiple hosts and automatic RS485 data flow control.
Advantech's EDG units are housed in enclosures that are designed for easy rack mounting.
This helps to simplify operation, maintenance and administration.
Tx/Rx LEDs are used to indicate data transmission for all the ports.
