Embedded PC offers a long lifetime
With powerful fanless processor operation and a solid system chipset, the PCM-9575 SBC from Advantech provides the ideal core technology for long-life applications.
The Mobile Intel Pentium 4 Processor-M is ideal for graphics-intensive medical applications with its Intel NetBurst micro architecture.
The POC-174 supports Windows 2000 and XP, and the two 10/100Base-T LAN ports ensure that POC-174 can connect to medical databases and patient systems.
X-rays stored in a remote database could for example, be viewed right next to a patient during surgery.
With zoom and other image processing functions, the POC-174 puts information where practitioners need it.
Numerous I/O ports make it possible to use the POC-174 with a wide range of peripherals.
There are four serial ports, a parallel port, two USB ports, mouse and keyboard interface, and a PCI extension slot.
Also, since the two LAN ports and COM ports are isolation protected, power leakage meets medical standards, offering better protection for equipment, patients and medical professionals.
With an optional PCMCIA module, 802.11b wireless communication is also available.
Although POC-174 is powerful, it maintains a very low noise level at 40dB, important in many hospital environments.
Advantech's medical grade point-of-care terminals are designed for safety, minimum interference with other electronic equipment and are designed for high reliability.
They are all certified UL60601-1 for USA and EN60601 for Europe.
With IP65/NEMA 4 and IPX1 certification as well, the POC-174 is water and dust resistant.
This is important in hospital environments where effective cleaning is critical and splash resistance is paramount.
POC-174 has a VESA compliant standard mount.
This means the POC-174 can be easily table mounted, swing-arm mounted, wall mounted or panel mounted for increased flexibility. Request a free brochure from Advantech (UK) ...
