The PPC-V106 is a shockproof solution for rotating drive applications.

Its rugged and vibration-absorbing design increases the operational functionality of industrial vehicles.

With the installation of a solid state disk, PPC-V106 can additionally offer more stable data storage for critical industrial applications.

A rugged aluminium enclosure makes PPC-V106 more solid and helps dissipate heat effectively.

Using a special design without ventilation holes, the seal rating is IP65, which means PPC-V106 is dust tight and is protected against water spray, making PPC-V106 especially appropriate for harsh and outdoor environments, where dust and humidity are regarded as a constant.

According to a Venture Development Corp report, wireless technology offers benefits of mobility, flexibility and low cost.

Advantech's Vehicle PC series is designed to be used in both wireless and wide area networks with expansion capabilities for 802.11b/g, GPS, GSM or GPRS.

In addition to the software available for Windows 98, 2000 and XP, the PPC-V106 also supports embedded OS like WinCE.NET, WinXP Embedded or Linux, making the task of application integration easier.

Advantech's channel partner Cyber World Creations has already successfully introduced PPC-V106 in Hong Kong terminal docks, where it is mounted in a gantry crane to help manage container traffic.
