The Applied Panel Computing Group at Advantech can provide 3M Microtouch Cleartek II capacitive touchscreens as standard equipment on all its 30.5, 38 and 43cm multifunction panel computers The touchscreens bring improved optical characteristics for light transmission and anti-glare support, a top coating that provides scratch resistance and more accurate touch sensitivity

The touchscreens are robust, water-resistant when used with a polyethylene gasket and can withstand dust, dirt and grease.

There are drivers for Windows and Linux.

They are aimed at companies providing high traffic and harsh use products such as kiosks, ATMs, vending and gaming machines, and some industrial applications.

There is a 91.5% light transmission rate and improved anti-glare optical quality.

This makes screens brighter in well-lit environments and allows colors and images to appear more vivid and crisp.

The Cleartek II hard coat gives the touchscreen a Mohs hardness rating of seven on the touchscreen surface.

Liquid on the display does not affect operation.

The screen is resistant to corrosives and can be cleaned with water and other non-abrasive cleaners.

Operating temperature range is -15 to +70C.

The touchscreen is available as a standard item on the firm's PPC-123T (P/N: PPC-123T-CBar-C), PPC-153T (P/N: PPC-153T-CBar-C), PPC-154T (P/N: PPC-154T-Bare-C) and PPC-174T (P/N: PPC-174T-Bare-C) panel computers. Request a free brochure from Advantech (UK) ...
