Advantech reveals automatic data flow modules

Advantech has introduced the PCM-3614I (4-port) and PCM-3641I (8-port) RS-232/422/485 PCI-104 modules with automatic RS-485 data flow control.

The utility software program is supplied with each module supports multiple operating systems, such as Windows 2000 and XP, WinCE 6.0 and Linux Kernel 2.6, eliminating the need to manually program the modules.

Both modules include TX/RX LED indicators, as well as shared IRQ settings for each of their ports.

These ports are standard PC ports that are COM1, COM2, COM3, and COM4 compatible.

Other features include: 5V at 450mA power consumption; 50bps-460.3kbps speed; 0-65C (32-149F) operating temperatures.
