Safety training courses move in-house

An ACM Facility Safety product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Apr 22, 2008

Courses can be held either on site or at a location nearby, where participants are free from interruption.

ACM Facility Safety now offers in-house SIL training and safety lifecycle management courses as a cost effective option for companies wanting eight or more staff to attend a specific course.

Courses can be held either on site or at a location nearby, where participants are free from interruption.

This offers considerable savings in time, travel and accommodation costs.

In addition: "in-house" or private courses involve discussion of company problems and challenges that are relevant to the course in complete confidentiality.

Training courses can be used to increase staff motivation and team building within departments.

Participants often return from courses feeling refreshed and with new enthusiasm for the job.

When on the course, they will be able to look at their work problems from a distance and put them in perspective.

This will allow them to re-examine their objectives and to come up with creative solutions to these problems.

Recent delegates to ACM Facility Safety "in-house" courses have commented: "The instructors were absolutely fantastic; the 44 years of industry expertise are extremely valuable"; "I should have attended these courses before the Hazop"; and "The conference was first class and Malcolm did a phenomenal job".

The following courses are available in-house: P and ID/engineering drawings interpretation (2-day); PHA leadership workshop (3-day); Functional safety engineering - TUV Certification (4-day); Introduction to SIL analysis (1-day); SIL determination leadership workshop (2-day); SIS engineering fundamentals workshop (2-day); Management of change (1-day); Operation and maintenance of SIL rated systems (4-day); and Safety lifecycle management (1-day).

Courses can be timed to fit in with a company's needs (for example, during a plant shutdown).

The costs for in-house training vary depending on the duration of the course and the number of instructors required - each course is designed to meet the companies specific needs, with a maximum of up to 15 - 25 delegates.
