Avon Calibration Services now offers a full UKAS subcontract inspection service using the latest co-ordinate measuring machine technology.

Avon Calibration Services, already well known as a UKAS accredited calibration laboratory, is celebrating its new UKAS award for dimensional testing which enables the company to offer customers a full UKAS subcontract inspection service using the latest co-ordinate measuring machine technology Operations Director, Suzy Brain explains: "Although we had been providing an inspection service for some time now, increasingly our customers were requiring UKAS accredited inspection and reporting"

"With our investment in new equipment, such as co-ordinate measuring machines and new resources, we have focused on obtaining this accreditation and fulfilling customers' requirements".

Alongside this, the company has also gained UKAS accreditation for co-ordinate measuring machine acceptance and reverification to BE EN ISO10360:2.

This award extends Avon Calibration Services' already extensive calibration schedule to include on-site service and calibration of CMMs to UKAS standard, one of a few laboratories in the UK to offer this service.

Brain concluded: "The future for Avon Calibration Services is to offer a comprehensive array of services to existing and potential customers".

"We believe that the new accreditations will separate us from other laboratories".
