The Mary Rose Trust uses the latest PAT4 portable appliance tester to carry out checks on all of its portable electrical equipment.
Like all Megger PAT4 testers, the new models are designed to minimise the time required to perform tests, and to access the results.
The testers are ready for use within just five seconds of being switched on - less than one-sixth of the time of some other testers - and they automatically date and time stamp tests using a clock which needs resetting only once every ten years.
Plain English group test codes make PAT4 testers easy to use, and users have a choice of making their own decisions about pass/fail limits on a test-by-test basis, or of prestoring limits which will automatically be applied by the instrument.
The duration of tests can also be set to match the user's exact requirements.
Test results, grouped by client, are automatically stored in a large-capacity onboard database, which can be searched by asset ID, retest due date, group test code, the room within a location, or the location within a client site.
This makes it easy to find any required test result in the minimum amount of time, even if an appliance has, for example, been moved to a new location since it was last tested.
Data can also been downloaded from the PAT4 database into a PC for archiving and further analysis, or for use in reports and test certificates.
In these applications, Megger's PowerSuite software is an ideal complement for the new PAT4 testers, as it has been specially developed to guarantee seamless integration with Megger products. Request a free brochure from Megger ...
