Power quality analyser sets a new trend
The latest version of the popular and successful PA9 Plus portable power quality analyser provides straightforward analysis of changes in power quality that occur over a period of time.
Straightforward analysis of changes in power quality, which occur over a period of time, is one of the key benefits provided by the latest version of Megger's popular and successful PA9 Plus portable power quality analyser, which addresses the international IEC61000 and EN50160 series of power quality standards used around the world The new PA9 Plus also trends the important flicker (PST/PLT) power quality parameters defined by EN61000-4-15, which relate to the levels of voltage change that alter light output from lamps

Fibre-optic testing now easier to perform
Fast, comprehensive testing of fibre-optic installations is now easier to perform with the latest range of low-cost Megger fibre-optic light sources and power meters
Like earlier versions of the instrument, it continues to provide facilities for recording events, RMS voltage/current trending, and the monitoring of power, energy, waveforms and harmonics.
The PA9 Plus records power quality and power flow information simultaneously.
The recorded information can be viewed via the built-in graphics display, downloaded to a computer using the serial interface and optional modem, or quickly transferred using the optional removable Flash memory module.

Ohmeters extend to inductive loads
AVO International has extended the capabilities of its popular Ducter DLRO10 and DLRO10X digital low-resistance ohmeters to include accurate resistance measurement for inductive loads.
The new phase-locked loop (PLL) technology featured by the PA9 Plus increases the instrument's frequency measurement range, enabling it to offer auto-ranging frequency measurement and recording from 20Hz to 70Hz.
The PA9 Plus also trends frequency over time, a facility which is invaluable to electricity generators, utilities and service companies.
Featuring rugged, yet compact, construction, which makes it equally suitable for use on-site or in the laboratory, the PA9 Plus can be powered from the unregulated supply under test, or from a separate supply connected to an auxiliary input.
The instrument incorporates a large backlit liquid-crystal display which confirms setup information and real-time status.
Instantaneous phasors, frequency, harmonics, harmonic power, together with minimums and maximums, can be displayed on a per-phase basis, as can total power and energy data.
Working with data already recorded, charts of trended voltages and currents, waveform graphs and reports of historical out-of-limits information by event type can also be displayed.
The PA9 Plus power analyser from Megger is complemented by the newly enhanced MEGPA9IEC software package for Windows, which is supplied free-of-charge with every instrument purchased.
This provides facilities for setup, configuration, communications, charting and reporting, and offers a remote test log function to preview charts, events, reports and waveforms prior to actual download.
The preview function also provides the capability to select and download only the data content and time frame relevant to the investigation being performed, thereby dramatically reducing download times.
An optional enhanced report generation software package, Metreport, may be purchased separately for creating customised reports. Request a free brochure from Megger ...
