Apprentice of the year wins

Awards were also made to three apprentices who achieved the best results at their particular stage of training - Jayson Powell of PA Contractors, Lee Brodie of Muranda Electrical Services and Steven Groom of Mechelec Engineering Services.
Each of these stage winners received a versatile multimeter from the new Megger range for electrical contractors.
"Megger strongly believes in encouraging young people to reach their full potential and to gain recognised qualifications", said Nick Hilditch, Group Marketing Services Manager at Megger.
"We are, therefore, delighted to provide these rewards, and we've been careful to select products which will not only be immediately useful to the winners, but will continue to serve them well throughout their professional careers".
The award winners were selected from among 7000 entrants nationwide.
