All well and good, you might say; but where's the incentive to change from the tried and tested pump types that already come close to the holy grail of metering and dosing?.

The answer is very simple: Pulsafeeder has designed a pump that is made up from a miserly 16 components and is wholly leak-free because its magnetic coupling eliminates the need for mechanical seals.

With so few components, inventory control and spare parts holding is minimised and servicing can be performed in-situ within minutes.

There are four models in the Eclipse Series, providing flows from 0.38 to 75.8 litre/min and accommodating pressures up to 13.8bar.

Should circumstances arise, the Eclipse is capable of dry running for up to 30min, a capability not matched by many other types of pump.

In terms of corrosion resistance, the use of fluoropolymers for components that come into contact with the pumped liquid allow the Eclipse to be employed for handling a wide range of chemicals and aggressive fluids.

In designing the Eclipse, Pulsafeeder has paid considerable attention to operating efficiency, minimum downtime and space availability.

Efficiency is represented by the pump's ability to handle low flow duties without the problems of cavitation, increased loads and unstable flow associated with centrifugal pumps.

Downtime is minimised because all wearing parts can be easily replaced by removing the front cover, whilst there also no need to disconnect piping or motor connections.

And because it is a compact design, the Eclipse has a far smaller footprint area, making it ideal for those duties where space and weight have to be taken into account.
