DRO "new for old" deal saves buyers 25%

An Anilam product story

The Acu-Rite 200S DRO can be quickly configured for two or three-axis milling, turning or grinding applications, eliminating the time and cost often associated with multiple DROs.

Users of ageing digital readout (DRO) systems can cash-in on this Summer's "new for old" trade-in deal that offers a 25% discount on the purchase of Anilam and Acu-Rite DROs.

The deal is available until the end of August and covers the Anilam Wizard 411 and 1000 systems, as well as the Acu-Rite DRO 200S.

The one, two, or three-axis Anilam Wizard 411 is an entry-level DRO that offers tool offsets, sub datums, linear patterns, PCD calculations (full and partial) and vectoring.

It also provides an LCD screen, a sealed membrane keypad and powerful canned functions for incline, arc, rectangular frame and rectangular pocket routines.

The Anilam Wizard 1000 DRO is a two to four-axis fully programmable unit for milling and turning applications that is more powerful but easier to use than its predecessor, but costs the same.

The Wizard 1000 has encoder inputs for four independent axes.

It can store up to 1000 blocks of information, which can include as sub-routines 10 PCDs with up to 99 holes each or 10 linear patterns with up to 999 positions.

The system can also accommodate data for 16 tools and 10 sub-datums and allows automatic trigonometry calculations and hole skewing routines.

It has a diecast aluminium casing and plastic front cover.

The Acu-Rite 200S DRO can be quickly configured for two or three-axis milling, turning or grinding applications, eliminating the time and cost often associated with the selection and installation of multiple application-specific DROs.

The 200S displays all prompts, instructions and help functions as text or graphics, and there are operation-specific soft keys.

For milling, the system is supplied as standard with bolt hole pattern calculations for full and partial circles with graphics, zero reset and preset features, tool diameter compensation and near zero warning, for example.

For, turning, the system features include taper turning functionality and 16 tool offsets that, when used with the axis lock feature, ensures tool deflection is reduced even under load.

Grinding and general use applications for the DRO 200S are based around the system's zero reset, linear error compensation, instant radius-to-diameter and inch to mm conversions, as well as absolute/incremental display features.
