Gauging probes more flexible for production lines
A 32mm spindle stroke model added to a range of digital gauging probes enables a longer measurement range and provides more flexibility in incorporating the probe into a continuous production line
Encoders on a budget
Axis Group can now offer a range of optical incremental rotary and draw wire encoders at very economical prices.
The Sony system is therefore suitable for any size or specification of manually operated inspection machine.
The statistical analysis functions calculate the centre and length of lines, centre, radius, circumference and area of circles together with intersection points and areas of square planes.
The necessary co-ordinate values for the calculations are easily input by the operator as part of the measuring process.
The RS232C interface enables the output of the results of the calculations to a PC or printer.
Alternatively, for direct measurement of the workpiece, the current displayed position can be output in response to the Sony touch probe or CMM trigger probe via the external print facility.
Other inspection functions available to increase the display's versatility are error compensation, scaling, two and three axis set up and data memory.
The LH54 display provides a simple solution where measurement data processing is required.
The complete linear measuring system can be retrofitted to existing machines to upgrade their performance or systems can be tailored to meet OEM builders specific requirements.
Sony Precision Technology positioning products are exclusively distributed in UK and Ireland by Axis Group.
