The Amadeus control system is designed to provide automatic registration error correction on printing and converting machines.
Differential drives offer intelligent phase shifts
Using the advantages offered by DuoDrive differentials, companies operating in industries such as printing, packaging, hygiene, converting, textile and labelling can expect to make significant gains.
The DGT 2000 is claimed to be one of the most comprehensive tension control systems currently available.
It provides full digital setup with no trimmer adjustment, no DIP switch configuration and no additional resistors required.
Open-loop control is available by roll diameter measurement or calculation.
Optional methods of closed-loop control are also accommodated, with the most economical utilising a dancer arm to provide an external tension for the web.
A force closed loop system provides the most accurate regulation system and is based on real time measurement of output voltage via load cells.
A torque closed loop system is recommended for test-rig setups.
An impressive range of benefits are offered including: five complete built-in memories; smooth startup with programmable slope; 'hold' and 'freewheel' modes available from control panel; adjustable taper function for rewinding shaft; inertia compensation control; no-stop splice turrets management available; variable PID parameters; E-stop torque proportional to actual output; digital input filters; and +/-10V DC analogue output.
The equipment is designed to be user friendly and provides full regulation control with calibration and analytical treatment of all measurements to control a regulated power source for brake or clutch torque control.
It can also be successfully used with DC motors and controls, AC motors and inverters, together with servo drives.
Full compliance with major European languages is provided, with printouts on a large backlit display including either imperial or metric units.
Setup is via free PC based software with password protection and the equipment has wide compatibility with the majority of current load cells, sensors and pulse counters.
The controller can be supplied in three mounting packages for front or rear panel together with DIN rail.
It is fully CE/CEM compatible and requires a 24V AC/DC supply for operation.
