Redex-Andantex's two speed gearboxes have been designed to extend the constant power range of machine tool spindle drive motors.

Redex-Andantex's two speed gearboxes have been designed to extend the constant power range of machine tool spindle drive motors.

This allows high speed for finishing cuts and high torque for large rough machining cuts of steel and cast iron.

Two versions are available: the MSD is used in conventional designs where the motor and gearbox are mounted outside the headstock, driving the spindle through belts or gearing; the RAM-MSD is integrated inside the ram between water cooled motor and spindle.

This compact, lightweight design matches the latest spindle drive motor technology and allows through shaft tool cooling at high speed.
