A compact fanless touch panel computer is designed particularly for heavy-duty environments.

Axiomtek's GOT-1640T is a fanless compact-size touch panel computer which is designed particularly for heavy-duty environments.

The GOT-1640T is equipped with a 6.4in TFT LCD and low-power-consumption VIA Eden 1GHz CPU.

With a cutout dimension of only 200 x 150mm, the GOT-1640T is designed particularly for limited space environments and has been approved for shock and vibration tests at 1.3g in operating mode with HDDs.

"The GOT-1640T is a multifunctional and small size touch panel computer for most applications", said Alex Hsueh, Product Manager of Axiomtek's Industrial Automation Division.

"The integration of a fanless kernel, fuse protection and antivibration makes this machine a reliable solution for industrial or critical environments".

The GOT-1640T offers a PC/104 slot that allows for extended communication or a DA and C card, and a PCMCIA slot for a wireless LAN card.

With a CompactFlash card, the system becomes more reliable and stable for vibration-heavy environments, making it ideal for transportation, shipping and industrial machinery markets.

In addition, the GOT-1640T also supports external 2.5in HDDs and provides a cover to protect them.

The front bezel of the GOT-1640T is NEMA4/IP65 compliant, and the panel computer provides a fuse to protect the system from being damaged by overvoltage.

The computer supports various operating systems, including Windows 98/NT/2000/XP, Windows CE.NET, Windows XP embedded, and Linux.

This ideal industrial-grade panel computer, the GOT-1640T can be applied to several industrial or commercial projects, such as transportation, factory automation, human machine interfaces and more.

Multiple mounting options include panel mount, desktop, wall mount and VESA arm.

The GOT-1640T will be available around the middle of April 2006.
