The eBox748-FL can also work in critical environments with an internal hard disk for almost any industrial application in the market, such as POS, kiosk, ATM, DSA, thin server, diskless workstation, building automation, and project screens for department stores, supermarkets, tour bus displays, and more.
This eBox has a full complement of I/Os including four COM ports (with an AX93200C Mini PCI daughterboard), four USB 2.0 ports, one Fast Ethernet port, a VGA connector, a LPT port, a PS/2 port and a CompactFlash slot.
Furthermore, a Mini PCI slot is provided for wireless LAN interfacing (with an AX92201 Mini PCI module).
In case of failure, the watchdog timer function will automatically reset the eBox748-FL and send error messages to programmed personnel, if required, which reduces the need for maintenance.
The eBox748-FL can be bundled with a wide range of embedded OS solutions, specifically the Microsoft Windows and Embedded Linux family-based products including Windows CE.NET, Windows XP Embedded and Axiomtek's own Embedded Linux kernel.
