Axiomtek has released an antivibration box PC, the eBOX611, for mobile digital video recorder and telematics applications.

Axiomtek has released an antivibration box PC, the eBOX611, for mobile DVR (digital video recorder) and telematics applications The industrial grade eBOX611 integrates a high performance EPIC form factor SBC, the EP811, which supports both Intel Pentium M and Intel Celeron M PGA or BGA processors, and incorporates a highly reliable antivibration 2.5in HD drive

Responding to the growing market demands, Axiomtek developed a classic digital video recorder platform.

The DVR hardware system eBOX611 simply stores the digital stream directly to disk and offers PC-based reliable infrastructure, customised configuration, and meets industrial PC standards.

The DVR function can support up to four channels of video input at 30 frame/s or two channels at 60 frame/s.

The eBOX611 can operate in wide range temperature environments from -15 to +60C.

It can tolerate can sustain 1G RMS (5-500Hz, x, y and z directions) HDD vibration and 3G CompactFlash vibration for several hours without effect, making it an ideal solution for harsh environments.

In order to support different vehicle usage, this mobile DVR system has a wide range 12V (9-27V) or 24V (18-56V) DC power supply.

The industrial grade DVR device can be bundled with embedded operating systems such as Microsoft Windows XP, Windows XP Embedded or WinCE 5.0.

Users can easily install the eBOX611 in many transportation applications, such as traffic control, parking lot, airport, school bus, police car, or truck, to provide a security, safety function and GPS/location information.

This RoHS compliant product will be available around the end of January 2007.
