By simply plugging in the Mini PCI WLAN card, GOT users can have instant access to a wireless LAN.
Axiomtek has designed a GOT series of fanless touch panel computers for HMI solutions.
The new 8.4-inch fanless touch panel computer, the GOT-3840TL, which is equipped with a 8.4-inch SVGA TFT LCD display, supports an ultra low power consumption AMD LX800 500MHz processor.
The HMI platform also supports anti-vibration up to 1.3G in operation mode, and a NEMA4/IP65 compliant front bezel.
The GOT-3840TL is a good choice for limited space applications including transportation, control platforms on ships, parking field surveillance and building automation.
In response to customer's more and more requests for wireless applications, the GOT-3840TL reserved a Mini PCI slot and an optional fixed rotational WLAN antenna (IEEE802.11b/ 802.11g) for wireless network connection.
By simply plugging in the Mini PCI WLAN card, users can have instant access to a wireless LAN.
To enhance system's reliability, the industrial touch panel computer uses a remarkable vibration-resistant design to enable the system to work in heavy vibration environments of up to 1.3G (5~500Hz) with operating HDDs.
A built-in fuse protects the system from being damaged by over-voltage.
Using high-speed dual fast Ethernets, the GOT-3840TL eases network traffic jams.
It offers a resistive type touch screen for user-friendly operation interface.
"It also has a variety of interfaces and industrial design in environmental resistance" said Alex Hsueh, Product Manager of Axiomtek's Industrial Automation Division.
"The integration of a fanless kernel, fuse protection and anti-vibration makes this rugged unit a reliable solution for industrial or critical environments".
The system is fanless design to improve maintenance free operation, yet is effective enough to support several embedded operating systems including Windows XP, Windows CE.NET, and Windows XP Embedded.
Wide range software compatibility allows developers to quickly and easily bring devices to market.
The GOT-3840TL also supports I/Os including two RJ-45 ports, a watchdog timer, audio (line-out), three COM ports, two USB 2.0 ports, VGA, and CompactFlash.
