Smaller sizes for high-current
connectors
The Radsok contact and connector series is now available in smaller package sizes that provide a lower insertion force than larger connectors, while providing increased durability.

The Amphe-Power GT connector provides users with audible, tactile and visual indicators of a secure attachment.
The introduction of the smaller sizes now allows other Amphenol connector series such as the P-Lok and the 5015-based Series (5015, GT and AC) to contain all Radsok contacts.
As a result, engineers can specify the new connectors to be used in the same process control, robotics, electrical, and other high-power applications as larger connectors, but with increased reliability and lower cost.
The new Amphenol Radsok connectors, which are available in sizes as small as a number 16 contact, will retain the high current capability (relative to size) and the very high reliability inherent within the Radsok design.
Radsok is a patented electrical terminal based on a hyperbolic grid configuration.
The cylinder contains elongated contactor strips connected in spaced, parallel relationships, twisted into a hyperbolic shape.
As a male pin is inserted, the grid deflects, imparting high normal forces.
The hyperbolic configuration ensures a large coaxial, face-to-face engagement area for a low millivolt drop connection with a low insertion force.
The stamped grid and cylinder are very rugged, allowing for a high quantity of insertion cycles and off-axis insertions.
The new smaller sizes will be available as individual contacts or in strip form with solder or crimp contacts, with and without wire grips.
Other popular Radsok sizes are 12, 8, 4, 0, 2/0, 4/0 with a low insertion force specials up to 777 MCM.
Radsok contacts are available with current ratings from 15 to 600A+ per contact.
Pricing for a number 16 Radsok contact is $0.14 in quantities of 500 pieces.
Delivery is 6 weeks ARO.
