Amphenol Industrial Operations now offers its Amphe-Power connector series through its extensive distribution network.
Amphenol Industrial Operations now offers its Amphe-Power connector series through its extensive distribution network.
The Amphe-Power series consists of three families of reliable connectors featuring Radsok technology, a terminal that features a stamped hyperbolic grid providing low insertion force, high amperage, high reliability, and a longer cycle life.
Additional Radsok lines are planned to be added to the distribution network.
The Amphe-Power series, which can handle up to 50% higher amperages than MS-Standard products, currently supports from 50 to over 1000A of continuous duty.
A wide range of Amphe-Power shell styles and layouts enhanced with the Radsok high amperage contact(s) are available.
With millions of parts in the field, the Radsok electrical connection has proven to be extremely reliable, with almost no reported connection failures in Amphenol Radsok-designed applications.
Radsok uses the tensile strength properties of the flat, high conductivity alloy grid for the high normal forces required for conductivity, while providing a large conductive surface area.
This results in a correspondingly low voltage drop and low temperature rise while maintaining low insertion forces.
The first of the three Amphe-Power connector lines is the P-Lok connector for high amperage applications such as fuel cells, load banks and charging systems.
P-Lok features a quick mating push/pull locking mechanism and meets IP67 specifications for environmental sealing.
The connector can be overmoulded as a custom cable with EMI shield termination to the plug shell.
The Amphe-Power GT connectors, second in the Amphe-Power series, are reverse bayonet coupling connectors.
The GT can handle increased current for high shock and vibration applications.
The Amphe-Power GT is suitable for high power process control and server applications.
The waterproof Amphe-Power GT comes in a heavy duty, rugged shell with a variety of backshell options and is available with an overmoulded coupling nut for added damage protection and increased gripping surface.
The last Amphe-Power connector is the Amphe-Power AC series, a threaded cylindrical connector that comes in a variety of styles including: solid shell for general, nonenvironmental applications; pressurised for bulkheads and pressure barriers; as well as environmental resisting featuring strain relief, a lighter weight, and a shorter resisting style.
