The Amphe-ARC cylindrical metal connector is a rugged, antivibration, ratcheted coupling for harsh environments.

Amphenol Industrial Operations has launched the Amphe-ARC cylindrical metal connector - a rugged, antivibration, ratcheted coupling for harsh environments.

This 5015 Type, water resistant, multiple conductor electrical connection can be employed inline or cable-to-box and is ideal for a wide range of applications in process industries, rail-coach building and for use in heavy equipment that operates in aggressive conditions.

Amphe-ARC is offered in shell sizes from 32 to 40, with a wide choice of contact insert arrangements, and has a range of practical features to ensure users can be sure of a highly reliable connection.

The ratcheted coupling nut eliminates the risk of accidental decoupling when equipment is subjected to high vibration in its operational environment and a five key/keyway misalignment prevention feature provides easy connector alignment and avoids mismating.

Cross threading is avoided with a double stud Acme thread, which also reduces the number of turns needed with finer threads and makes it easier to clean.

Amphe-ARC is the latest addition to Amphenol Industrial Operations' extensive range of Amphe Series connectors, developed to offer high integrity electrical connections for all industrial environments.
