Years of experience in precision blanking have enabled the Bauer company to apply its expert knowledge of the process to the manufacture of parts for domestic appliances and garden tools.

Following success providing this service to a number of reputable customers in the automotive and security industries, the white goods and domestic garden tool sectors are now able to reap the benefits of this accurate and cost-effective process.

Bauer is able to maintain tight tolerances on component features including holes, radii, contours and slots as well as overall flatness.

Process repeatability is an important factor in the white goods industry, where there is no margin for costly assembly line delays due to inconsistent components.

Precision blanking ensures that tolerances are achieved time after time.

All parts are subject to Bauer's extensive quality control procedures, which have enabled the company to be accredited with a spectrum of quality standards including ISO9001 and QS9000.

Tools employed for gardening tasks are often subject to high forces and so strength is a key factor.

Precision blanking can process parts up to 10mm thick in materials such as spring steels or more exotic metals if required, allowing component designers a high degree of flexibility.

Parts can also be produced from strip widths up to 650mm.

Components exit the multi-impression tooling employed in the precision blanking process finished and ready for use, although Bauer does offer a range of hardening, coating or other treatments so that customers can gain further value from not having to meet the cost of transferring parts to another contractor.
