Barksdale Control Products, Europe's leading manufacturer of pressure, level, flow and temperature sensors, has moved to new premises at the Viewpoint business centre located in Basingstoke, Hampshire.

Part of an ongoing UK expansion plan, the new offices will enable Barksdale to develop its sales, application and technical support to all its customers.

David Thomas, UK and Ireland Sales Manager for Barksdale Control Products, said the new offices reflected the company's vision of expanding its UK services.

"The premises at Viewpoint will provide more space for product demonstrations, meetings and seminars and, ultimately, the room for us to expand as the business grows".

The offices, located within easy reach of the M3 motorway and mainline stations into London, form part of an innovative business development and commercial district close to Basingstoke's city centre.

Benefiting from conference facilities, the latest communication systems and essential business support services, the new premises are described by Thomas as "fantastic".

He later affirmed: "The new site has an improved working environment that will mean we can better serve the needs of our customers".

Barksdale Control Products is renowned for its electronic and mechanical sensors that offer end users considerable benefits in terms of functionality, performance and flexibility.

Thomas noted, however, that recent developments have meant customers now have an even greater range of products to choose from.

"The next generation of sensor technologies provide improved control and feedback facilities thereby improving production performance".

These new products include the microprocessor-controlled UDS 7 pressure switch, which provides an operating life 10 times longer than traditional mechanical devices and incorporates an alphanumeric dot-matrix display.

The new sensor also has a tactile membrane keypad for data entry making it ideal for hydraulic, injection moulding and process environments.
