Barksdale Control Products has launched the UPA 5 electronic pressure transmitter.

Barksdale Control Products has launched the UPA 5 electronic pressure transmitter.

Compact and robust, the UPA 5 offers OEMs a reliable sensor for applications where cost versus performance is of particular importance.

The UPA 5 features a ceramic sensor with a pressure range from 1 to 600bar overpressure and accuracy of +/-0.5%.

Housed within a robust stainless steel body and viton seals, the UPA 5 has an operating temperature range of -25 to +125C.

Furthermore, the sensor offers users excellent mechanical stability ensuring that it is particularly suitable for hydraulic and pneumatic applications.

For example, the UPA 5 has a shock resistance in excess of 100g/11ms and will withstand vibration between 10g/20Hz and 10g/2000Hz.

Equally suitable for use in remote locations, the UPA 5 provides a 4-20mA analogue output, which can be fed back to a PLC or higher-level process control system.

With compact dimensions of just 90mm in length and 35mm in diameter, the UPA 5 is also an ideal solution for machines where space is limited.

The UPA 5 pressure transmitter is supplied with a plug-in DIN43650 electrical connection as standard, with a 2m cable version available as an option.

Mechanical connection is via a G0.25in external thread.

A 12 month warranty is standard and customised versions for specific applications are available.

The UPA 5 is available from stock in the UK.
